College Students Are From Another Planet

It’s gotten to the point where every time I talk to college students or recent college graduates, it’s like I’m speaking with someone from another planet. Being left-wing is one thing; I have many left-liberal friends and co-workers and that’s fine, but the things that come out of these college student’s mouths is beyond comprehension. The strength, eagerness, and conviction with which they say things full of insanity, illogic, and absurdity…again, it’s like I’m listening to alien from another world.

Take a look at the above video. It’s about a new college word called “microaggression.” It’s the diametric opposite of free speech. It means that if I make certain sounds with my mouth and you hear them, I have actually committed an act of aggression against you. This is, of course, insane…on planet Earth. But on planet College, this make perfect sense.

Here are some of the things you’ll see these aliens say. Pay attention not to just what they say, but the fervor with which they say it, particularly the female students. They really believe this stuff:

– Asking an Asian person where they were born is an act of aggression.

– Telling a black person they’re articulate is an act of aggression.

– Qualifications for the job aren’t the only things you should consider when hiring someone.

– Saying “bless you” after someone sneezes is an act of aggression.

Moreover, most of these aliens think all of above is free speech. Such a bizarre world planet College is.

To be fair, one alien did admit that she hated free speech and that free speech “enables the powerful.” Or something. Again, I don’t speak alien so I really don’t know what she’s talking about. (Maybe I should go to college to learn alien.)

40% of millennials think the goverment should enact laws preventing any offensive statements made about minority groups. Expect this percentage to grow. And grow. And grow. Then expect goverment laws to start preventing other speech that has nothing to do with minorities, a process that has already begun. I made this prediction a very long time ago and I’ll be right. Give it a decade or two.

The most important part of this video is at the very end, at 7:47. The interviewer asks a college student if saying “god bless you” after someone sneezes is an act of aggression. Watch with sadness as this poor bastard tries hard, oh so hard, to resist his false Societal Programming and left-wing brainwashing. It actually looks like he’s in pain as he tries to use logic and reason to overcome his indoctrination.

After a moment or two of internal agony he finally says, “I want to say no, but I guess it would count.”

Societal Programming wins. Logic, rationality, and reality all lose.

As is usually the case.

Utterly terrifying. Do you think this and coming generations, and the net neutrality pass is the beginning of the end of free speech, and we’ll enter into a 1984-esque future (in the US at least)?

I don’t believe in the 1984-future, since that requires goverment to be competent. As Harry Browne said, if it was a 1984 world and there was a government camera in every home, it wouldn’t be as bad as it sounds because the goverment camera would be broken and would never work.

Rather I believe in a slow collapse. The political correctness, anti-free speech, and socialism of the left, mixed with the endless wars of the right, will slowly bankrupt the United States (and Europe). It will take a while though. Nothing that large and wealthy falls quickly.

And that’s why if you plan for that happening, it won’t affect you.

These type of things are meta. I don’t think that one person can change it. Apparently societies goes through these stupidity phases until it gets too much then they revert. As long as I and my family is unaffected, it’s the majorities choice to do this, societal programming or not. They do have a brain that they can use to reason through these arguments. It’s not as if the PC arguments are well constructed. They want to believe so badly, they are willing to go up their reason. How do you reason with people like that?

I’ve come to the conclusion that self-protection is the only viable path. When it gets too bad, move. When it gets better, move back.

One more thing. You have to remember that college student’s brains aren’t fully mature and developed at that age. Until they hit about 35, they can be easily swayed. Some more than others but still, the majority of them are easily convinced of BS due to their lack of maturity and earnestness.

yes, their bodies have matured and can have children but their brains are fully developed yet. Or if you want to argue that the human brain isn’t seasoned until 35 or so that works too. Either way, it’s easy to persuade with group think at that age.

How do you reason with people like that?

You don’t. Like you said, you let them live in delusion and let them crash into a wall down the road. Not my problem.

Until they hit about 35, they can be easily swayed.

Well, I know a hell of a lot of people, both in real life and on the internet, who are well over age 35, who buy into this hyper-PC bullshit too.

Though I agree it’s easier to convince young people of this because they haven’t actually been out in the real world yet.

I still don’t get why people pay good money to go these places and learn nothing worthwhile in the real world (unless you want to be a doctor (or some type of profession that needs a University Degree)).

Society pressures people to do so. “Oh, you didn’t go to college? You filthy degenerate!” “Your kids didn’t go to college? Your kids are losers and you aren’t good parents!”

Its been like this for literally centuries.
